DESIGNATION: Crucis (AG/CA/PY) CONTAINMENT PROTOCOL: IS-0127 must be stored in a hermetically sealed environment away from any and all sources of moisture, at a temperature of 2° C, varying by no more than 0.5° C. If contained in proximity to a target, the target must be stored at 0° C or lower. Under no circumstances should IS-0127 ever be brought within 100cm of the central 'face' region of a target. Further, researchers are advised to keep IS-0127 away from all human or humanoid faces generally. In the event of IS-0127 successfully unifying with a target, containment of the activated entity should only be undertaken by armed Gatekeeper staff. Research personnel are to be aware that the entity appears to treat children under 12 years of age with an entirely separate personality, and exhibits none of the hostility markers seen when engaging with older children or adults.

IS-0127 is, at first glance, little more than a particularly unappetizing carrot. However, analysis by GATE scientists indicates a complex crystalline matrix within, hinting at a dense informational structure - a fact believed to account for its unusual weight. During field study in Anteverse 188, TransRecon Team 4 conjoined IS-0127 to the cranial area of a 2.7 meter tall frozen humanoid form consisting of three spheres tapering upwards, followed by a brief adjustment of the headwear sitting atop the configuration. A rapid physical transformation began to occur before the entity was 'aggressively withdrawn' by Gatekeeper Aspen attached to TR 4. The resulting specimen was transported to the Cascade Research Facility and held in cold storage. It is strongly believed that this 'icy incunabulum' (in the words of Dr. Daria Kale) represents a transitional phase in an unsettling - and potentially lethal - metamorphisis.
