Dunkeltaler National Park

Founded in Dunkeltaler, Switzerland in the early 1970s, the Alpen Signal Observatorium is an advanced astronomical research center. Inexplicably shuttered at the end of the 1980s, it reopened a few years later with reduced operations, and a single staff member at any one time. Its precise research goals have not been made public.
