Every Abiotic Factor Trader: What They Sell and What They Want
Abiotic Factor traders in the game files: every trade, its stock, and the progress that makes each traveling trader start showing up.
Abiotic Factor’s traders swap one item for another. There’s no currency: each trade has a fixed price in items. Four traders are always available; four more travel and need story progress plus a spawn roll. Every table below comes from the game’s trader tables (Abiotic Factor 1.4.0.28206). Names are the ones the trade window shows, with the character’s full name from the compendium where it has one.

Marion and Dr. Carson use fixed spawn points in the level files. Marion has 15, spread from the Office Sector to the Reactors and Vehicle Depot. Dr. Carson has 7, in the Office Sector, Cascade Laboratories, Hydroplant, the Reactors and Vehicle Depot. The sector map marks each one. FAQ
Which traders are always available?
Warren, the Blacksmith and the Larva have no spawn roll in the game's trader table and never run out of stock. Jimmy also has unlimited stock.
Why hasn't a traveling trader shown up?
Marion, Dr. Carson, Grayson and Dr. Thule each need a story flag first. After that the trader table gives each one a 10% spawn chance, so they don't appear every time.
What does the Blacksmith trade?
11 items, including Rebar, Steel Cable, Diode, Optic Lens, Fibre Optic Cable and an Anvil. Each costs one specific item, such as 1 Metal Scrap for a Cement Bag.
Which trader appears after the final boss?
Dr. Thule (Dr. Ulrich Thule). He only spawns once the main story is complete, and every trade costs Mug of Coffee.
